Laszlo Borbely, Romanian Minster of Environment and Forests, revealed that the pollution tax payable will be primarily based on the engine capacity of the car and its age, and will be progressive for vehicles older than 10 years. The need for such a clause is due to the fact that more than half of the nearly 120,000 cars imported into the country during 2010 were aged older t raising chickens han 10 years. UNIVERSITY OF OTTAWA - Researched Generator Could Open a ‘New Chapter of Physics’ for EVs

PRLog (Press Release)– Jul 29, 2011– THANE HEINS, PRESIDENT of Potential Difference Inc., has dedicated a majority of the past decade to creating a generator that would eliminate the need for oil. He was invited by Dr. Riadh Habash of the University of Ottawa in 2008 to continue work on the project in one of Ottawa University's power labs, where the results could be adequately tested, scientifically validated and shared.

According to Heins, he hasn't just managed to create a generator that eliminates the need for oil—he has created a machine that literally defies the current laws of physics as they are presently understood.

This sentiment was also shared with Dr. Habash at Ottawa University's in 2008, "Of course it accelerates... this represents several new chapters in physics, that is why we are consulting MIT."

Dr. Stanley Townsend, University of Toronto and former Managing Editor of the Canadian Journal of Physics told Heins in an email that the technology was a "new source of power."

"Thane, Your Press Release was most interesting to me as a physicist and an engineer. The level of technical detail was adequate to tell me that you probably have made a very significant advance in applied physi acura cs and in safely and successfully handling a new source of electric power. Congratulations!"

Even Dr. Evstigneev N.M., Institute for System Analysis at the Russian Academy of Science had this to say after evaluating Heins' work:

" That is fascinating! A number of your experiments are not lying in the field of Maxwellian electrodynamics."

"I'm very interested in what you are doing with your experiments, because from the mathematical point of view what's going on in your experiments represents a break of SO3 symmetry in fundamental tensor of Yang Mills equations that makes it obvious to see the flaws of Maxwell electrodynamics."

"Today I made a numerical simulation of a model problem – simulation of the Ampere's force on the coil from the moving permanent magnet using Maxwell set of equations with bias currents in conductors. I changed the number of turns in the "coil" and varied magnetic and electric properties of coil material to get the equivalent of high R and Z. In the simulation there are no effects that you have in the experiments – in the simulation there's a direct Lenz law as it's stated by the physics. I will inform you on any progress that I make along with reports. Thank you once again!"

Although his quest has been primarily carried out in the realm of science, Heins reveals there is a political component to the project as well.

"The original intention for the generator was based on 9-11. Shortly after 9-11, when Canada went into Afghanistan with the United States, to me, it was about oil," said Heins. "To a lot of people, Iraq and Afghanistan are about oil. And I decided that I don't want to be putting gasoline in my car that's being paid for by some man or woman getting killed in Afghanistan. To me, that's not acceptable in a society that calls itself  civilized."

Heins' demonstration involves comparing the effects of supplying electricity to a load, in the form of light bulbs, from both a conventional generator and the regenerative acceleration generator.

After allowing the machine to build up power, he first uses a conventional generator to power a light bulb that consumes a mere 0.9 watts. Upon turning on the light blub, the motor instantly begins to decelerate according to Newton's Third Law of Motion: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. This is normal and very well understood and is the basis for electric vehicle regenerative braking.

In the second half of the demonstration, Heins supplies power to four light bulbs, each requiring 10 watts for a total of 40 watts - more than 4700% the original output of the conventional generator. However, when his generator powers the bulbs, it causes the motor to accelerate, implying that the generator is over 100% efficient because the generator is increasing the no-load drive shaft mechanical power (speed and torque) while also sending electrical power to the loads. The genera audi tor, in essence, is reversing the direction of the energy created by the generator's induced magnetic fields, (the same induced magnetic field which decelerated the conventional generator is now accelerating the system) thus violating the Law of Conservation of Energy, which states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed.

Heins' design has attracted researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) who have witnessed Heins' innovation and were st chrysler umped by the atypical manipulation of Lenz's law, an extension of the Law of Conservation of Energy.

Dr. Zahn of MIT also concurs after Heins provided MIT with a live technology demonstration in 2008, "It works and it is not something I would have expected, now I am just trying to figure it out."

Heins suggests the machine and its implications are best realized by the open minded people that watch his demons bmw trations. "It's very obvious and easily understood by just about everybody. The only people that it is not obvious to and hard to accept are the engineers and PhDs. It's because their education is an impediment to their understanding. Overturning 100 years of entrenched scientific dogma does not happen overnight and understandibly takes time as with any new innovation," said Heins.

On the skeptics issue Dr. Townsend councils Heins with sage advice, "stay out of the limelight, and ignore any critical skeptics - don't let your energy get tied up in responding. Develop the new technology - it will market itself - you do not have to persuade skeptics."

It is not easy trying to do what you seem to have done. If you run into problems with the Conservation of Energy Rule, Let us talk about that, because I might be able to help you with that. I think that you have accomplished what you seem to have accomplished, but your "reconciliation" with present day physics "might not be taking everything into account."

The implications of this technology, which has passed the prototyping and proof of concept phase, have yet to be realized, but already players like Magna International, Defence Researchand Development Canada, U.S. Air Force, NASA , GM, Nissan, Chrysler, and even Neil Young have shown interest in the generator's capabilities.

Neil Young once told Heins that he was, "interested in ending roadside refueling" whereby Heins replied, "we are interested in ending roadside bombing."

In particular, Heins is interested in the technology being potentially adopted by the electric car industry. He sees this technology as the solution to the "range anxiety" problems electric vehicles have faced in the past.

According to Heins, there are two ways to currently re-charge electric vehicle batteries - plugging in and regenerative braking. "We're introducing a third mode, which is called Regenerative Acceleration," noted Heins, who views this type of technology as being capable of causing a paradigm shift in both the energy and business worlds.

"We're creating a New Energy Paradigm … by basically finding a way to exploit a loophole in the laws of physics," he explained. "But we also want to try to create a New Business Paradigm that reflects the idea that competition is not good in the long run. If everybody works together, then we get a lot further a lot faster."

"This cooperative economic model was proven mathematically to be valid by Nobel Prize winner, Dr. Josh Nash in the 1950's but the opposite is occuring in the world today and that is why humanity's future on Earth is now at risk," insists Heins.

The regenerative acceleration generator's capabilities are currently being assessed by engineers and companies all over the world. After this stage, the technology will be taken to the roads and tested in an electric cars all over the world where the technology will be shared and licensed for free "Nash" style.

Between 2008 and 2010, he visited neurologists, orthopedics, pain management specialists and tried multiple bouts with physical therapy and chiropractic.   There were no signs of progress, even after multiple attempts had been made to manage the problem.  At this point, the patient decided to visit Dr. Tom Gustafson at the Active Healing Center in Colts Neck, NJ.  To add to the difficulties of the situation, he was traveling from his home location in New York City.

Memo Gidley and Team Turner Wins Magnus Go-Kart Event

This event also would provide great food, drinks and entertainment. An event such as this shows how much of a family everyone in the GRAND-AM paddock area really is.

After a hard fought battle, Turner Motorsports GT driver Memo Gidley, who is also managed by P1 Groupe, won that event with Turner crew members Kent Stacy and Reed Allen. The prize for winning was a purse of eight hundred dollars. "Magnus Racing put on a great event on Friday night that gave the crew members and drivers a chance to put all the wrenches and stats down and gave them a chance to enjoy each other's company" stated Gidley. "Th auto part e event was spectacular and a great deal of fun with great food, drinks, entertainment, and gave us drivers an opportunity to say Thank You to our crew members. Go-Karting is so much fun, and the looks on everyone's faces were priceless throughout the evening. It gave everyone a chance to relax and have fun.  I knew if we won I wanted to give all the money ba corsa ck to the Turner Motorsport crew who had been working hard in the extreme heat all weekend. Members of the crew are a key part cadillac of a team having success, and I wanted them to know that I appreciate them greatly for all their hardwork. Friday was a great time and very classy move by John Potter, Craig Stanton everybody from Magnus Racing."

"Magnus Racing and John Potter put on a great event Friday night that originally was just going to be a bunch of pros running a go-kart race, but someone came up to us and suggested that we get all the crew guys involved. We thought that was a great idea so we went through the pits and found sixteen teams of three people for a thirty-minute go-kart race. Each driver would be given ten minutes in their car, and when not in the car everybody could enjoy a few drinks and great food. Memo Gidley and his crew guys won that event before I could even ask what he was going to do with the winnings; Memo said it was all going back to the Turner crew guys. It once again shows you how great of a guy Memo is that he would do that for his crew, and the event was also another instance of Magnus Racing giving back to the community and spreading the wealth. We want to make this a re-occurring event as all teams travel throughout the season, and we also want to begin to tie the winnings to a certain charity. John Potter, myself and everyone at Magnus Racing are currently doing research to see where we want to go with that idea. It's all about giving back and helping others. "It's more like a health check to make sure [the air conditioning] is not just cooling, but that it's cooling properly," Molla said.

That means running a few quick checks. Mechanics use specially calibrated thermometers designed just for this task and check the results against the operating parameters for your vehicle.

Technicians also look for any leaks that may lead to the slow degradation of your system's performance, and they check the condition of the belt that runs the air conditioning compressor.

If everything is operating properly and no visual problems are spotted, the climate control is given a clean bill of health. If the air temperature is too high even at the coldest setting, the technician will then move to the second stage of the checkup by examining the refrigerant pressure in the system. Molla says this is as simple as hooking up a special pressure gauge and reading the results with the compressor on and off. Typically, if an A/C system isn't functioning at optimum capacity, the refrigerant levels are too low. If the pressure readings fall below the recommended levels for your vehicle, chances are there's a leak somewhere in the system.

From there, it's as simple as repairing the leak and filling the refrigerant to the proper pressure levels. But Molla says that routine system checks can prevent more than lackluster performance.

"For example, there's a problem that happens in very humid areas of the country where mold will form inside the vents," Molla says. "Normal maintenance will pick that problem up before it becomes a bigger issue."

According to Molla, catching mold early is an easy fix that simply involves using a special spray in the ductwork. Left unchecked, however, the issue could require costly replacement.

Though your vehicle's air conditioning system may not require frequent attention, routine maintenance is key to keeping the cabin comfortable and your bank account safe from big repair bills.

Aftermarket Business World Study Shows Consumers Rely on Technician & Owner Recommendations

New market study, "China Metals Report Q3 2011", has been published

PRLog (Press Release)– Jul 18, 2011– China's consumption and supply of copper, steel, aluminium, lead, nickel and tin increased substantially in 2010 due to base effects as the world's second largest economy returned to growth above 9%. We expect strong growth in both supply and demand across these sectors as China continues to feed its near insatiable hunger for refined metals. We expect aluminium production to increase at an average annual rate of 5.2%, reaching 20.4mn tonnes (mnt) in 2015, from 15.8mnt in 2010, with most of this growth driven by Yunnan Aluminium and Henan Bowei Aluminium. We expect consumption of aluminium to grow faster due to the development of infrastructure, averaging 9.2% per annum over the period, reaching 24.8mnt, from 16.2mnt in 2010. In addition, we have upgraded our copper production forecast on the back of Xiangguang Copper's expansion plans. We now expect refined copper production to reach 6.56mnt in 2015, marking an average annual rate of growth of 7.2% from 4.57mnt in 2010. Refined copper consumption is set average 7.0% per annum from 7.42mnt in 2010 to 10.5mnt in 2015.

In terms of lead production, we forecast an annual average growth rate of 6.2%, reaching 5.13mnt by 2015. Yuguang Gold & Lead Co will account for much of this in production as the company plans to increase total refined lead output by 50% to 700,000 tonnes per annum (tpa) by 2015. We expect refined lead consumption to reach 4.98mnt in 2015, marking an average increase of 7.5% per annum. In addition, we forecast steel consumption to average 5.8% growth to 2015, reaching 745mnt, up from 561mnt in 2010. Steel production will reach 744mnt in 2015, marking average growth of 3.5% per annum from 2010, when output was 626mnt. Steel output could be further boosted as Chinese companies increase production to make up for lost output from ferrari Japanese refineries following the earthquake in March 2011. Finally, we expect a 5.7% growth in Chinese refined tin production, reaching 195,000 tonnes (kt) in 2015. Demand for tin is set to increase by an average rate of 4.3% to reach 189kt in 2015.

As well as forecasting growth across all sectors, we highlight the trend of Chinese consumption outpacing production. This will mean China becomes more reliant on the import of refined metals, perhaps from Australia, one of the largest producers of refined metals. That said, China appears to be seeking greater selfsufficiency and thus we note upside risks to our production forecasts, as the government may search for greater domestic exploration and manufacturing.

There are two other risks to our outlook. First, the supply of refined metals could be at risk from efforts to increase energy efficiency and reduce power usage, as was seen at the end of 2010. Indeed, while it tends to be the smaller refineries that are less efficient, refined metal production is highly fragmented and the smaller refineries account for a substantial proportion of output. Second, our forecasts for consumption growth are in line with overall GDP growth and thus any downturn in the economy would reduce growth in base metals consumption. Our expectations for demand are therefore exposed to the effects of monetary and fiscal tightening as the Ch chevrolet inese government attempts to stop the economy from overheating.
